Norwood Then and Now is dedicated to collecting, preserving and sharing the digital history of Norwood, Massachusetts.
New local history is being created every single day and many of us are capturing it without even thinking about it. Norwood Day, the annual 4th of July parade, school graduations, team sporting events and other local events are part of our town’s history. And while we are capturing those events, we are photographing not just people, but the town itself. Buildings and businesses that are now long gone are likely hiding in your polaroids from the 70’s and 80’s. Old newspapers, yearbooks, phone books and other documents contain lots of history too.
